The Taliban's renewed takeover of Afghanistan is resonating around the world.
Not only has the terrorist organization already today (Sunday) applied the Sharia law in various areas - but now, thanks to the withdrawal of US forces, it is left with a lot of American weapons.
"The return of the Taliban to positions of power threatens many regional powers, but it could also be of great benefit to China," Turkish Independent Commentator Oğul Tuna told Israel Today.
"Iran, which has had many problems with the Afghan government, from water to immigration, has already agreed to the return of the Taliban. Despite the Shiite-Sunni split and the Taliban's threat to Afghanistan's Shiite minority, Iran is likely to support a stable government in Kabul." .

On Israel, the commentator notes that "it is building strong relations with its partners around the Caspian Sea and with Central Asian countries, such as Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. "The Chinese and Pakistani forces in Afghanistan in particular and Central Asia in general are likely to harm the Israeli interest."
Regarding Turkey, Tuna adds that "although it has explicitly announced its ambition to provide security services to the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul as early as May 2021, it is now preparing to evacuate its personnel in the coming hours. Ankara has not prepared well for the Taliban takeover."
"The biggest threat to Turkey is the flow of migrants. Over the past month, many thousands of Afghan migrants and refugees have entered Turkish territory daily. The pace is likely to increase in the near future due to Iran's attempts to undermine Turkey's stability through its territory."
The Turkish commentator concludes that "Turkey and Israel alike will be adversely affected in the near term by the Taliban takeover. However, in the long run - Turkey will be able to expand its influence over Afghanistan under the Taliban, through its ties with Pakistan."
