Corona in charge of Arab society, Ayman Saif: "About a third of Israeli Arabs flew to Greece and Turkey - where carriers of the virus" • "The police will not disperse incidents, but will distribute reports"

The number of new nationals in Corona in the Arab sector continues to rise, in inverse proportion to the meager immunization rates among those aged 50-12, who are still significantly lower there than the rest of the population.

Following the announcement of the decision to allow a third vaccination dose for those aged 50 and over, as well as with the aim of encouraging youth aged 12 and over to get vaccinated, vaccination and testing complexes were opened in some Arab localities for all HMO members.

However, the rate of vaccinators remained significantly lower than in the general public, and the vaccination complexes in Arab localities remained deserted for most of the day.

"Unfortunately, the Arab sector is not in a hurry to make appointments and get vaccinated, and it is a great pity," a senior member of the Koruna administration admitted to the Arab sector.

According to data collected by all relevant parties, since the outbreak of the Delta variant - the main reasons for mass infections in the sector were the sacrificial holiday events mentioned last month, the mass wedding season that began in May and is expected to last until October, and tens of thousands of Israeli Arabs Raging, led by Turkey and Greece.

The Minister for Regional Cooperation, Issawi Frij, sharply criticized the Arab citizens of Israel who flew to Greece and Turkey.

"This is a blatant irresponsibility," he accused them, and even said that many Israeli Arabs "obtain fake certificates of negative corona tests to return to Israel."

According to the corona commander in the Arab sector, Ayman Saif, about 30% of the Arab citizens of Israel who flew to Greece and Turkey were diagnosed as carrying the corona.

"We have about 17% of vaccinators in two doses aged 16-12 and that is a very low figure," Saif said.

However, he noted that those aged 50 and over were more than 75% vaccinated in two doses in the sector.

"We are now working through advocacy mainly to encourage the population aged 50 and over to get vaccinated in the booster dose, the third."

The corona commissioner in the sector also said that weddings and mass events in the sector continue to be a source of contagion, but in his view there is no need to stop them.

"Banquet hall owners should take responsibility for enforcing green label guidelines, and the public should take more personal responsibility. Those who hold an event should make sure everyone is wearing masks and according to guidelines. Police will not disperse events but hand out fines," he warned.

A senior member of the Arab Local Government Committee in the local government sharply criticized the government's conduct in curbing the spread of the Delta variant in the Arab sector: " Every yoke. "
