The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture has decided to introduce the health pass in two shopping centers in the department from Monday, August 16.
Thus, customers of the So Ouest shopping center in Levallois-Perret and the Conforama store in Colombes must present a valid health pass at the entrance.
After a time when the prefects were responsible for requiring or not the health pass, the government took the decision on August 11 to impose it in shopping centers of more than 20,000 square meters, in the departments where the rate is more than 200 new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants.
A decision taken in the face of the resurgence of cases in nearby departments
If the incidence rate in Hauts-de-Seine remains below 200, the situation is deteriorating in the neighboring departments, in Seine-Saint-Denis, in Val-d'Oise and in Paris in particular.
In a "concern for consistency and harmonization", the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine has therefore chosen to impose the health pass in two shopping centers.
A circumstance which could explain why Westfield Les 4 Temps and the CNIT, in La DĂ©fense, as well as the Qwartz shopping center in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, are not affected by the measure despite their surface area exceeding 20,000 square meters.
