Carrying their hopes and ambitions, hundreds of successful high school students enrolled in training courses at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Damascus, which helps them pass the college admission examination and pursue their educational attainment in the specialty they desire and achieve their future goals.

And last week, the training courses began, where the registration fee for one session was set at 15,000 Syrian pounds, with the children (martyrs and faculty members at the university) completely exempted from the fee, and 25 percent discount for the children of the teachers’ and military union members, and it continues every week until the date of the admission examination is announced.

SANA accompanied the training atmosphere, where the student Omar Abu Kalam, who obtained the General Secondary Certificate with a total of 232 degrees, said that he wanted to study architecture and enrolled in the course to learn the skill of drawing and familiarize himself with the principles and basics of architecture, while the student Bisan Ghanem, who obtained a total of 191 degrees, pointed out that drawing Engineering is a skill that she loves to learn since she was young and during her presence on the study bench in the early stages and that she participates in the course to have the greatest chance of succeeding in the admission test and entering the college.

The student, Rania Labbad, who received a score of 220, indicated that her ambition since her childhood was to study architecture, while the student Sarah Masoud, who received a score of 225, pointed out that the reconstruction phase requires the presence of young engineers who contribute to building their country in the most beautiful way.

Dr. Oqba Fakush, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Damascus University, said that the faculty took it upon itself to train students who wish to enter the faculty at nominal prices and under the supervision of elite professors from the Faculties of Architecture and Fine Arts, where students are trained in drawing and how to use the tools and principles of architecture that help them pass the admission test, indicating that The number of students enrolled in each course exceeds 100 students.

From the trainers, Dr. Muhammad Ghanoum says that these courses are very important to prepare students for the entrance exam, as they are organized and programmed, and each includes ten sessions at a rate of two sessions per day.
