At about 10 pm yesterday (14th), the East Kowloon Region Anti-Triad Action Team, together with the Tactical Unit and Kwun Tong Police District officers, launched an anti-crime operation code-named "BRAVEDUKE" and raided Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong. Two industrial units at No. 146 and No. 66 Chun Yip Street smashed a suspected unlicensed bar and a party room suspected of operating illegally.
During the operation, a 24-year-old male person in charge of a bar was suspected of "unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages", "unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale" and violating the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises)" Regulations (Chapter 599F) arrested.
The 11 men and 16 women in the unit, aged between 14 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of "drinking in premises without a liquor license". They were also suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Ordinance (Section Chapter 599G), the officer issued a fixed penalty notice to them.
In addition, a 24-year-old male person in charge of the party room was arrested on suspicion of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F).
There are 2 male and 4 female customers in the unit, aged between 20 and 26. They are also suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F). The staff then issued a quota to them Notice of fine.
All arrested men and women are now being detained for investigation.
