Running among the dried fruits: Rats were spotted at a health food store in Ramat Gan

A city resident documented the rats running around the "cherry blossom" store while it was closed, and reported the health hazard repeatedly.

For the past month, a resident of Ramat Gan has been warning a branch of the "Nitzat HaDuvdevan" chain of natural stores in the city that rats have been roaming open food products in the store.

The store promised the resident to treat the health hazard, but this was repeated.

Last Thursday, curtains were installed in the store that hide what is happening in the place from passers-by on the street.

"I saw this thing and I wanted to vomit."

The first incident occurred in July, when Gal (pseudonym), a resident of Ramat Gan, spotted a rat running around the store, while going for a night walk with his dog in the area.

He then alerted the network to the incident, and even shared with them the documentation of the rat he photographed - but to his surprise this was repeated again in August, when he witnessed two more times that rats roamed the branch.

Last Thursday, Gal once again watched two rats and a cockroach in the store - and again alerted the network.

"I was walking with my dog ​​and he just stopped in front of the branch," Gal described. "They promised to take care of it. The second time I saw it continue, I took pictures again and warned again."

"Cherry Spark" is the largest natural home chain in Israel, with over 45 branches, including a variety of natural products, organic products, nutritional supplements, and organic products.

In Gal's last correspondence with the chain, he was told by a representative on their behalf that "it was carried out yesterday at the pesticide branch, but apparently it was not strong enough", and it was also promised that his complaint was forwarded "for urgent treatment" to the store manager.

To Gal's disappointment, despite the promises - the solution they chose for the chain was actually to set up the curtains that hide the store's interior: "They just closed the branch with curtains. Shocking to me. Apparently that's their way of dealing with it - if they don't see it then it doesn't exist."
