The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced that it will start a comprehensive information technology project at midnight tonight (16th) to follow up on the network equipment failure incident on August 13th and strengthen the resilience of the information technology system.
The Jockey Club stated that the project will affect the betting and transfer services of all channels in two periods, from 3:50 am to 8:00 am on August 16 and from 4:00 am to 4:00 pm on August 17.
The project will be completed in the afternoon of August 17, and the betting service of all channels will be postponed to 4:00 in the afternoon of the same day.
The business hours of the off-site betting office on the same day will also start at 4:00 pm.
In order to ensure that customers have enough time to purchase the next round of the Mark Six lottery draw with an accumulative total of 43 million yuan and an estimated jackpot fund of 48 million, the Jockey Club stated that it has decided to hold it on August 17 (Tuesday). The Mark Six draw will be postponed to August 19 (Thursday).
