A man from Austria was on the bus on the A 92 on Saturday with over two per thousand.
The problem: He was the driver - and caused an accident.
Freising
- He was responsible for 32 people - and was very drunk: A 39-year-old bus driver from Austria, who was traveling with a tour group to Legoland, was irresponsible on Saturday morning.
When he was driving on the A 92 at the Freising-Süd junction and wanted to change lanes, he overlooked the car of a 33-year-old from Munich driving next to him.
Police officers could literally smell the cause of the accident
When the Freising traffic police arrived at the scene of the accident a little later, the reason for this was quickly clear: the person who had caused the accident was clearly drunk. An alcohol test on the 39-year-old showed a value of over two per thousand. Investigations also revealed that the driver had previously driven with a third-party driver card. The bus was not able to continue its journey. A member of the consulted THW Freising drove the bus off the autobahn. After a forced break of several hours, the tour group started their journey home with a replacement driver. The property damage is estimated at around 2300 euros. Fortunately, nobody was injured. The driver can now expect, among other things, criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic and the falsification of evidence-relevant data. After the ordered blood collection and the payment of a security deposit, the bus driver was released by the police.
