The author has launched the Dream Foundation that will fulfill the wishes of people over the age of 60, in the name of his mother who died of cancer • "Mother fulfilled her dream only at the age of 60", he says

The author Yuval Abramovitch launches a project called "The Dream Foundation" named after his late mother Tamar Abramovitch, who died of cancer three years ago, and the book "Until the Last Tear - 62 Lessons from Mom" which he wrote, in which he shares with the world the 62 Lessons for Life Who learned from his mother, as the number of her years in the world.

"This is not a commemorative book or obituary," Abramovich tells Israel Today. This is a must-read book for anyone who has parents, children or both.

"My mother had a dream as a girl to be a model, a dream that unfortunately gave up and was only realized at the age of 60. She did not have time to enjoy it, because it was at the height of fulfillment that she was diagnosed with cancer that interrupted everything," he adds.

Abramovich's mother divorced at a young age, raised him as a single mother and worked as a kindergarten teacher to support him.

Over the years she took courses in styling and makeup, but only at the age of 60 did she muster up the courage following her son’s lectures and posted a status on Facebook where she said she wanted to be a model.

"The status went viral and very quickly she received offers," shares Abramovich, "including participating in Fashion Week and even marching in various shows. Just when she began to fulfill the dream with the offers and big campaigns she received, the disease was discovered and her death stopped everything.

"Over the last few years, in the lectures I do, I hear older people tell me about a dream they have given up, and I say it's never too late to make dreams come true, with the life expectancy following 60 being the new forty. When my mother passed away I knew I wanted to do something to perpetuate it, but I was not emotionally free. Now that I have finished writing the book, it seems to me that this is the best time to set up a fund called the "Dream Fund" and fulfill the dreams of people aged 60 and over. 20 percent of the book's proceeds will go to fund Who will receive funding and guidance on the way to fulfilling their dreams. "

At the launch, which took place at the BOBO Hotel, an exciting fashion show was held in her memory, by the late Tamar, with the participation of quite a few celebrities over the age of 60, including Hani Nachmias, Ilanit, Sandra Sadeh, Nitza Shaul and others, who came to pay their respects to Tamar. I have to put women over the age of 60 on the show, who live life, "Abramovich reveals." My mother always signed her words with the words: 'Age is just a number.' There is a distorted perception that the world belongs to the young, but it is impossible to take the wisdom and experience from the adults, and I who am at this seam can say that this age is neither a stop nor a limitation. "

Gili Sivan-Cohen, who produced and directed the fashion show and met Tamar, adds: "When Yuval turned to me and said he wanted to launch the Dream Foundation, we thought together that it would be best to commemorate Tamar's dream with a show that will feature mainly women aged 60 and over. "A 75-year-old woman who is very exciting. They are dressed in clothes by Israeli fashion designers that Tamar loved very much, such as designs by Dror Contento, Sasson Kedem, Ronen Chen, Doreen Frankfurt and others."

When Yuval, a father of two daughters, is asked what of his mother's legacy he passes on to his daughters, he replies: "I grew up in a home where most of the time my mother said 'yes' to what I wanted at her expense and fulfillment. And she told me I could. She would give me 100 shekels and say, 'I trust you to come back with a surplus,' and that's something that burned into my memory, and I would come back with a surplus so as not to disappoint her. As my mother trusted me.

"She would say to me: 'You do not have to succeed all your life, only the day' ... 'Live day by day'. This is an insight I take today more than anything. "Friends, because it is impossible to know what will be born tomorrow. My mother waited like many for retirement, planned things for this period, and after her death I realized that we should live the day more than ever and not wait for retirement."
