During a car check, police officers shot two occupants of a car to be checked on Monday night (August 16) and seriously injured them.
The driver did not want to obey an order beforehand.
Therefore, the police officers planned to check the car.
The Paris police prefecture announced this on Twitter.
She was referring to videos showing the incident in the village of Stains in the suburbs of Paris, which were shared on social media.

According to police information, during the control the driver suddenly started the stationary car and rammed a police officer backwards.
The driver then drove forward and dragged a second police officer who wanted to stop the car several meters along.
Both officers then used their service weapon.
