The Consumer Council pointed out that direct cooling refrigerators are frost-free refrigerators, which are generally more power-saving and space-saving. Since the evaporator (cold pipe) is installed in the refrigerator, moisture will continuously condense on the cooling pipes. The snow must be melted on its own on a regular basis.
The frost-free refrigerator uses cold air to blow into the freezer or refrigerating room for refrigeration, and the frost and snow on the evaporator are dissolved by the defrost heater at regular intervals.
The cooling performance of the refrigerator compartment is uneven
As the name implies, the ability of the refrigerator to freeze and maintain low temperatures is very important.
The 12 samples tested by the Consumer Council have a freezer compartment, and most of the samples have good freezing performance.
Eleven refrigerator samples can be tested from room temperature to -18°C within 26 hours, and 3 of them can be completed within 14 hours. They are Yiqikesi, Jinzhang, and Xinlang. Refrigerator.
Only one sample of the double-door frost-free refrigerator did not meet the standard.
However, the cooling performance of the refrigerator compartment is uneven.

It was found that the cooling time for each sample amount varied from 2.9 hours to 6.7 hours, a difference of 1.3 times.

The test also simulates the heat preservation capacity of the refrigerator freezer during a power outage, checking that each sample can be maintained at -9°C or below when the power supply is stopped.
Looking at the temperature retention time of 12 refrigerator samples with freezer compartment, the difference is more than 3 times from about 3 hours to 12.5 hours.

As for the 11 larger frost-free refrigerator samples, the electricity charges are higher, ranging from 257 yuan to 471 yuan.
The Consumer Council recommends that if consumers want to buy a more energy-efficient frost-free refrigerator, they may consider a variable-frequency model with better overall energy efficiency.
Sharp refrigerator has the lowest score
Looking at the various projects, among the refrigerators tested by the Consumer Council, the Sharp (SJ-BR13D-S) made in China has the lowest score, almost at the end of each project.
