A serious traffic accident occurred on the slip road from Tuen Mun Highway to Ting Kau Bridge.

A Citybus 962B double-decker bus suddenly rammed into the van that broke down on the slow lane when it reached a right turn.

Because the tailgate of the van was open at that time, the tailgate was inserted into the cab of the bus like a blade, just hitting the driver's neck, causing serious bleeding and unconsciousness. The bus passengers reported the incident.

The ambulancemen rushed to give first aid to the captain, and then rushed to Tsuen Wan Yan Chai Hospital but died.

This accident resembles a duplicate of a car accident on the West Kowloon Expressway near the West Tunnel two years ago. At that time, a double-decker city bus crashed into a broken down truck. The tailgate of the truck was also open. It was inserted into the bus cab and cut off on the spot. The captain died tragically in both feet.

The driver of the truck was also thrown off the ground and caught under the bus and was killed on the spot.

At about midnight, it was reported that a bus was travelling along Tuen Mun Highway towards Kowloon and when it was on the right corner of the Ting Kau Bridge slip road, it suddenly collided with a truck.

The bus captain fell into a coma.

The ambulancemen rushed to give first aid to the injured and then rushed to Yan Chai Hospital in Tsuen Wan, but they were certified dead before 1 am.

The police are investigating the cause of the car accident.

The city bus captain who died unfortunately was surnamed Zhu, 63 years old; and the truck driver was surnamed Zeng, 60 years old.

It is understood that the case involved was Citybus Route 962B, which departed from Chi Lok Garden in Tuen Mun to Causeway Bay.

There were more than 10 passengers on the bus at the time of the incident and none of them were injured.

After the accident, a passenger found that the captain was in a coma with heavy bleeding on his head and neck, and he immediately reported the case for help.

Sources at the scene stated that the van involved was suspected of breaking the vehicle and was parked on the left side. During this period, the hazard warning light ("dead fire lamp") was lit, and the tailgate of the van was opened, which was turned upside down.

However, when the double-decker city bus drove, it slammed into the rear of the van before the brakes, but the tailgate that was lifted up like a blade, slammed into the front of the bus, just hitting the neck of the bus captain. Suddenly he was in a coma with heavy bleeding, but he was helpless after the rescue.

The van was bumped into a U-turn and rushed into the shoulder of the road.

It is known that the van was driven by a male driver surnamed Zeng and was carrying a male passenger.

At that time, from Yuen Long to Tsing Yi, the gearbox malfunctioned on the way to the upper site. The car was paralyzed and could not turn into the shoulder. The driver turned on the dead flame and lifted the tailgate to take out a white plastic box in the car body, which was intended to be placed outside the rear of the car. The pavement is used as a reminder.

However, about 1 minute later, the city bus involved arrived but was unable to stop the vehicle and rammed into the tailgate of the truck. As for the white plastic box, it was also smashed.
