The "Disabled Become Panthers" protest will arrive in Jerusalem today (Monday).
During the morning hours, traffic arteries in the area of the String Bridge at the entrance to the capital are expected to be blocked due to a demonstration of the disabled that will take place there.
The demonstration will be held in the presence of police forces.
As you may recall, the disabled demonstrate demanding the transfer of a grant approved last March, which guarantees the disabled population NIS 562 million.
This grant, which was brought to the Knesset's approval by a proposal of former Finance Minister Israel Katz and former Labor and Welfare Minister Itzik Shmuli, joins the NIS 1 billion allocated for the benefit of the disabled in 2020.
As part of the protest, the disabled blocked the Azrieli Junction in Tel Aviv last month and threatened that the demonstrations would intensify if the government did not respond to their demand to transfer the funds to them.
"There will be no more compromises, we have started a war for the existence of all the disabled in the country," the protesters said at the time.
Last week, a protest reached the Habonim junction, where disabled people blocked the train tracks and caused traffic disruptions on the Haifa-Tel Aviv route.
