Who are the million Israelis who have not yet been vaccinated against corona even in the first dose to date?

Data from the United Health Insurance Fund show that less than one-fifth of its insureds avoid vaccines - those who oppose them ideologically or for any medical or other reason.

The ultra-Orthodox, people from low socio-economic status and residents of Jerusalem - these are the people who more often do not come to get vaccinated.

In Meuhedet, about 13% of the country's citizens are insured, with a higher representation of the ultra-Orthodox population and residents of the Jerusalem area, who may drop the data slightly.

According to the Ministry of Health's situation as of yesterday, 1.022 million people remain vaccinated in the first dose, which is 15% of the total population.

305,000 of them are aged 15-12 (49% of the adolescent group have not yet been vaccinated).

The situation report of the Ministry of Health states daily that "apparently, there is a connection between the response rate to immunization and the socio-economic situation."

Indeed, according to Meuhedet, it appears that such an affiliation exists.

About 60% of those who have not been vaccinated are in a low socio-economic situation, and only 7% are in a high state.

One-third (33%) belong to the middle-class socio-economic class.

In Meuhedet, 1.3 million insured persons, of whom 182,159 are insured who are entitled to be vaccinated and have not yet been vaccinated.

36% of the non-vaccinated in this fund are ultra-Orthodox and 26% are Arabs - their representation is high in these two groups compared to their share in the population.

38% of the non-vaccinated are from the general population.

Meuhedet also reveals that 9% of the unvaccinated are aged 60 and over and another 17% are aged 59-41.

The largest group of unvaccinated (39%) are aged 40-19.

Also, 29% of those aged 15-12, and 7% of the unvaccinated are aged 18-16.

We were not vaccinated against the flu either

The minority of non-vaccinated do so for ideological reasons.

Only 17% are defined as "vaccine opponents".

Of the 133,751 families who were not vaccinated, 2,295 are defined as vaccine-resistant.

These are people who, according to documentation at Meuhedet, have not been vaccinated against the flu or have not vaccinated their children with routine vaccines.

Where do the non-vaccinated live?

44% of them are from the Jerusalem District in the United, 22% from the Northern District, 19% from the Southern District and 15% from the Center.

Mali Kusha, head nurse and director of the nursing department at Meuhedet, described strenuous attempts to minimize the proportion of the unvaccinated: "We do everything in our power to raise awareness that this epidemic is being overcome. "Opinion in an Arab village. We are looking for speakers in different languages."

Mali Kusha, without credit

"Opponents - a small part"

Kusha testifies that "the response in Arab society at the beginning of the vaccination campaign was at the bottom. Thanks to information, videos and a recorded lecture in Arabic and initiated telephone calls, this led to a beautiful result."

"Vaccine opponents make up 17% of our total unvaccinated population, which is not a large amount. That's an optimistic figure in my eyes. It means we still have something to do with the vaccinated population, and vaccine opponents are a small part of that," she said.
