The Ministry of Health announced the provision of “Amiodarone 200 milligrams” and “Azathioprine 50 milligrams” tablets, which are given to people with chronic diseases, and they will be distributed free of charge immediately.
The ministry indicated in a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, that the drug is dispensed in the ministry’s pharmacy according to a medical report that proves the disease condition and the monthly need for the drug.
In its statement, the ministry indicated that the amount spent is sufficient for three months' needs for each patient, according to a prescription issued by the specialized doctor, and the medical report is renewed annually.
The ministry pointed out that the siege and the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria are still delaying the process of importing imported medicines and not arriving on time.
