The organizers of the Paralympic Games, which will open on August 24, announced tonight (Monday) that no spectators will be allowed to enter the competitions due to the corona crisis that continues to attack Tokyo.
"We are sorry this is the case" read the official announcement;
"And we hope you understand."
As you may recall, the Tokyo Olympics, which ended eight days ago, took place without a crowd after the rise in morbidity in the Japanese capital led the authorities to ban the entry of local crowds as well.
The Olympics were supposed to take place in any case without the presence of a foreign crowd, but due to the increase in the percentage of those infected, the games eventually took place in front of completely empty stands.
