After it was reported that in the PM's environment, hospital administrators pressed not to be interviewed, the Likud party demanded that the ombudsman investigate the issue.

Following the exposure of "Israel Today", the Likud party is demanding today (Thursday) the opening of an immediate investigation against the Prime Minister for bribing hospitals to silence.

As you may recall, Israel Today reported yesterday that in the environment of the Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, the hospital directors were pressured not to report, warn or be interviewed by the media about the inadequacy of the hospitals to treat Corona patients in a critical condition.

According to a senior Ministry of Health official, the government had an unprecedented demand, for the first time ever from the Ministry of Health, "to lower the standards of medical care to say that Corona patients can be treated and not closed," and Health Ministry director general Prof. Nachman Ash Warned the government that "corona patients may die in the streets."

The Likud claimed that "the demand for an investigation came as a result of the revelation of the deal proposed by Bennett, in which he demanded that hospital directors lie and mislead the public regarding the dimensions of the Corona default in his responsibility, in exchange for a budget increase of billions."

Meanwhile, the political system stormed this morning following the exposure.

MK Galit Distel Atbrian (Likud) posted a scathing tweet on her Twitter account: "Use of veterinarians. Standards for silence. To contain the dead. Bennett is desperate and shoots in all directions. It's big on him, and it's dangerous for us. Very much."

A member of the faction, MK Shlomo Karai, also published a tweet with a picture of the front page of the newspaper, and wrote: "Bribery.

fraud.

Breach of trust".

MK Itamar Ben Gvir (Religious Zionism) wrote on his Twitter account: "When the state collapses from excess morbidity, Bennett blackmails hospital administrators who will not tell how many patients there really are, in exchange for hospital standards.

Bennett, did you learn from your friends how to do protection?

For God's sake, you are a prime minister, not collecting debts in the gray market.

Go already. "

The Prime Minister's Office responded to the publication: "The publication in the newspaper 'Israel Hayom' about an imaginary 'demand for silence' from the hospital directors - false and unfounded. There was no such demand from the hospital directors, neither officially nor in a hint, neither in writing nor orally. "In their professional integrity, he despises the best of our doctors, who are at the forefront of the fight in Corona for days and nights. All the other things that appear in the article simply did not happen in reality."
