The ambulance stays in Reichling - a garage for emergency vehicles is also built

Good news for the people of Reichling and all residents of southern Lechrain: After the successful trial run, the ambulance of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) can now stay at its location in Untergasse in Reichling for the next ten years - and will now also have a garage there.

Reichling - The location for the ambulance was put out to tender again, and the BRK had successfully applied.

“The Bavarian Red Cross has been awarded the contract,” Mayor Johannes Leis was now able to announce.

And the BRK continues to rely on the location in front of the VR building in Reichling: The BRK vehicle will now also be available for use there in the future.

VR-Bank applies for a change of use for the ambulance garage

For the residents in the extreme south of the Landsberg district, this means that an emergency vehicle can be on site in just a few minutes in an emergency - significantly faster than before 2018, when the additional location in Lechrain was created.

Now the ambulance is to get a garage.

The VR-Bank had submitted an application for a change of use to the municipality.

This application was necessary because an area that had previously been used by the bank is to be made available for the BRK RTW location in the future.

The municipal council unanimously approved the change of use and the construction of the garage.

Ambulance in Reichling is a great advantage for the community and neighboring towns

The council also endorsed the VR Bank's plan to expand the customer area in the bank building towards the inside.

For the community of Reichling and all neighboring towns, it is a great advantage that an ambulance has been available in the south of the district for three years now and a vehicle does not have to come from Schongau or Landsberg, which in an emergency could cost vital time.

Ambulance was the most modern in the whole district

The Reichling community had long tried to find the location. With success: in the summer of 2018, the new ambulance location in Reichling, which had also been created due to a supply shortage in the south of the district, was opened. The ambulance stationed there was even the most modern in the whole district at the time. It is not only technically well equipped, but also has the clearly visible yellow-red markings on the sides. In any case, the citizens are happy that the ambulance can stay in Reichling. And in future it will no longer have to be outside as soon as the garage is ready.
