With anger but in a silence that was broken from time to time by the horns of the cars that circulated around the Quinta Presidencial de Olivos,

an important group of people

gathered this Monday from 4:00 p.m. in front of the door of the property on Maipú Avenue to

leave stones with the names of those who died from the COVID epidemic

.

After several minutes in which the protesters cut several lanes of the main avenue of Vicente López, the Buenos Aires police interrupted the circulation in the place.

In front of the main access door to the official residence of the presidents, the protesters

left stones of different sizes, colors and textures

that each represent a person who died from the pandemic.

Silvia, 73 years old;

Raúl, 82;

Eugenia, 69;

Marcos, 41, are some of the names and ages that are seen on the stones,

placed between applause and shouts of indignation against President

Alberto Fernández for handling the pandemic and also for the income to Quinta de Olivos during the period of strict quarantine, which provoked

popular anger

when the photo

of the President's partner's birthday,

taken at a time when it was strictly prohibited by a decree of the president himself, was released.

They placed stones for the Covid dead in Quinta de Olivos.

Martha Pellini, from San Cristóbal, spoke with

Clarín

and related that she arrived at the place with two stones: one with her mother's name and another with her father's, because both died of COVID.

Visibly moved

, the woman cried in front of the cameras and then had to sit on the street curb to recover.

"This is

the closest thing to a wake or a farewell

we could do for our loved ones," said another woman who spoke to reporters at the scene.
