For the fourth week in a row, terrorist groups entrenched in Daraa Al-Balad continue to reject settlement efforts that lead to ending their control over the lives of the people in this neighborhood and controlling their fate, which has negatively affected the state of security and stability that the city has experienced since the Syrian Arab Army restored security and stability to it in 2018. Which calls on the people to end any presence of terrorist groups in the areas of Daraa al-Balad, the camp and the road to the dam.

The intransigence of terrorist groups and their rejection of the language of settlement coincides with the statements of their operators in the European Union countries aimed at distorting the facts about what is happening in Daraa, as Western statements give support to these organizations to increase their criminality and practices against civilians and the Syrian Arab Army points in Daraa and its western countryside.

In the face of this reality, the people’s demands are increasing to end the abnormal situation and to end the presence of terrorists who disrupt public life and undermine security and stability. In this context, Mahmoud Abu Qwaider, owner of a shop in the Airport neighborhood, said in a statement to SANA reporter, “The return of calm and safety is a basic demand for the people of Daraa to be able to conduct business. Their normal activities, and this calm and security can only be restored by the terrorists handing over their weapons and the deployment of the Syrian army in the areas where they are holed up in Daraa al-Balad.”

The security that has enveloped the city over the past years is trying today to disturb some terrorist groups through criminal practices in the city and its countryside, and their intransigence, refusing to hand over weapons to the state. It is held hostage by a group of terrorists who reject the language of dialogue and settlement, and what we want today is safety, as the school year approaches, and everyone yearns for their children to return to school with peace of mind, away from the fear spread by the chaos of arms.”

In turn, Mrs. Sana, one of the employees of a charitable organization, confirms that “all the people are looking forward to the return of calm and stability to the entire Daraa governorate and for citizens to be able to return to their work and activities. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see Daraa as a safe governorate where everyone lives with affection.”

She added, "The return of stability means opening roads, transporting goods, expanding commercial and industrial activities, and creating new job opportunities, which allows all productive sectors to rise."

For his part, Amer, a young man who sells vegetables, hopes that “safety will prevail in the various areas in Daraa so that he can expand his work,” noting that “ending the abnormal situation in Daraa al-Balad and uprooting chaos as a result of the practices of terrorist groups will activate the economic reality and improve the living situation of citizens through their return.” to their jobs and the pursuit of professions that some left due to insecurity.”

Wanted, outlaws and remnants of terrorist groups are holed up in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood, who attack from time to time with mortars, explosive devices and machine guns on neighboring areas, causing the death of a number of civilians and soldiers during the past months.

During the past two years, most of Daraa governorate witnessed the return of normal and agricultural life, the launch of dozens of projects, and the return of many people to their businesses that they had stopped for years due to terrorism.
