On the way to Maccabi Netanya?
Former Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ugo is scheduled to arrive in Israel this coming Wednesday for a number of days of impressions at Maccabi Netanya.
It should be noted that Raymond Atfeld's team have expressed a willingness to take on the 33-year-old Nigerian midfielder, who is in fact currently a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabia for Al Adela.
As mentioned, Ugo, whose last game was in March 2020, is scheduled to land in the country and after a few days of isolation will start training with the team.
If he impresses, he will be awarded a contract for the upcoming season.
Ugo, who started playing for Hapoel Beer Sheva in the 2014/5 season after coming from Portuguese academia, won three championships with Barak Bachar's team between 2018-2015.
In the 2018/2019 season he made 24 Premier League appearances and scored one goal, at the end of which his contract ended and he left the club.
