Yam Madar is in the sights of a hall team from the German league and may join it if he does not receive a contract in the NBA, this is what Israel Today learned for the first time in cooperation with the SPORTS RABBI website.
The 20-year-old Madar is currently playing for the Boston Celtics in the NBA Summer League, but it is very doubtful whether he will get a contract in the best league in the world.
The young talent has already made it clear to Hapoel Tel Aviv that even if he does not play in the NBA this season, he does not intend to return to Israel, and the parties have already set levels of financial compensation for the team in red depending on the next station the player chooses.
However the German is known for its fine player development. The team is coached by the Slovenian Jaka Lakovic, who was one of the great coordinators of European basketball in the first decade of the millennium. In recent years, many young players have moved to the top tier, including Frenchman Killian Hayes, who played for the team in the 2019/20 season and was selected seventh in the draft by the Detroit Pistons, and this season is a partner in 26 NBA games. The team will also participate this season in the prestigious Eurocup factory.
