The Student Loan Fund at the University of Aleppo continues to grant both monthly and personal student loans for this year without interest, as the number of beneficiaries from the beginning of the year until today has reached 700 male and female students out of 1500 applicants for the loan from the various colleges and institutes of Aleppo University.

Nadine Qorbi, director of the Credit Fund Branch, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the monthly loan of 40,000 pounds is granted to the student during the period of study years, provided that it is successful, pointing out that in the last years of his studies the student is granted a personal loan of 300,000 pounds to be used in graduation projects. The amount is recovered after two months, by paying ten thousand Syrian pounds per month over a period of 30 months.

Muhammad Ibrahim, an employee of the Student Credit Fund branch in Aleppo, said that the conditions for obtaining the loan include submitting identification papers in addition to the loan application according to the approved form, a family statement and a copy of personal identity.

Muhammad Dablouni, a third-year student at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Aleppo, explained that he benefited from a personal loan of 300,000 from the Student Credit Fund to purchase his university supplies.

Yassin Dabloni, a second-year student at the Engineering Technical Institute at the University of Aleppo, pointed out that the monthly loan of 40,000 liras contributed to filling part of the material needs, alleviating the burdens on his family and devoting himself to study. 3,049 male and female students benefited from it, while the number of applicants for the loan reached 5040 male and female students.

Amal Mustafa Sannine, head of the Student Credit Fund branch at the university, stated that 98,640,000 Syrian pounds were disbursed as a personal loan, and 816,69,000 Syrian pounds as a monthly loan.

For his part, Jaafar Malik Ghara, an employee of the General Authority of the Student Credit Fund, explained that the turnout was high this year compared to previous years, and facilities were granted to apply, as all applications that met the conditions were accepted without preference, and fees and stamps were abolished.

The number of students from university colleges and intermediate institutes who benefited from loans granted by the Student Credit Fund branch in Al-Hasakah Governorate has reached 270.

The Director of the Student Credit Fund Branch, Eng. Ismail Hawass, indicated that the total number of students registered for student loans reached 350, of whom 270 students benefited from all university colleges and intermediate institutes in Al-Hasakah governorate, at a rate of 80 percent.

The two students at the College of Civil Engineering, Muhammad Mazal and Hussain Radif, indicated that they obtained the personal loan with easy and easy procedures that reflect the extent of interest in students' affairs and help them complete their studies.

For his part, the student, Muhammad Shaker, a second year at the Faculty of Law, said I got the personal loan and had a major role in securing university expenses from buying lectures, printing and many other things related to university supplies.

On the sixteenth of last March, President Bashar al-Assad directed the Council of Ministers to provide a financial aid to the Student Credit Fund, amounting to five billion and two hundred million pounds, in order to enable the Fund to increase the value of the monthly student loan to 40 thousand pounds and increase the personal loan for students to the amount of 300 thousand pound.
