An indictment was filed yesterday (Monday) against Elhanan Wizgan, a 20-year-old resident of Shiloh, who refused to wear a mask on the bus and attacked the driver.
Wizgan is charged with grievous bodily harm after breaking the driver's nose while traveling on Route 461 from Ariel to Jerusalem.
According to the indictment, last Friday the defendant boarded the bus while not wearing a mask as required by the emergency regulations.
Under the same circumstances, the bus driver remarked to Wiesen and asked him to wear a mask.
In response, Defendant brought his head close to the driver's head threateningly while saying "I'm looking at you, you have a problem I'll get on with or without a mask you got me" Immediately afterwards he got on the bus while cursing the driver "Ben Slut".
In response, the bus driver said to him: "Shut your mouth, you garbage, do not curse from the air."
Defendant did not remain indifferent to the driver's reactions and as the ride began he approached Wizgan while slapping him several times on his head, nose and forehead and among other things he hit him with a phone he was holding in his hand towards his head and nose.
As Wiesen continued to hit, the driver stopped the bus, pushed it over him and pinned him to the bench behind the driver while the two quarreled.
The brawl stopped only after the defendant calmed down and walked to the back of the bus.
In a request for detention until the end of the proceedings filed by the SJ District Police Prosecution Department, it was stated that: That is, the respondent could have erupted in this way on any other person who would have reprimanded him for the obligation to wear the mask. Hence, the respondent is not an expected person and is even dangerous to the public. "
