Dangerous deflagration during painting work: industrial accident with several people injured

A serious industrial accident occurred on Tuesday in which several people were injured.

There was no immediate danger to outsiders. 

Regensburg - On Tuesday (August 17), a serious accident occurred on a company site in Neumarkt in Upper Palatinate, in which several employees were injured, as reported by the criminal police.

In the morning there was a deflagration in a paint shop.

According to the current status of the investigations, this caused smoke to develop, so that ten employees were injured slightly and one employee was injured more seriously

In addition to the forces from the Neumarkt police station in Upper Palatinate and the Regensburg criminal police station *, rescue services and fire brigades were also involved in the operation.

The victims could still be treated medically on site.

Few had to go to the hospital for preventive care. 

The cause of the accident is currently being determined.

However, there was no immediate danger for outsiders, as the criminal police assured.
