Happy Birthday: Nine-year-old English Bulldog Dave has won a particularly large cake this year - an accurate and edible replica of the dog.
British confectioner Lara Mason, owner of the "Bake Everything" cake baking company, baked it at the request of the dog's owner, who goes by the name Lauren Blake.

The result, as you can see in the pictures - is spectacular and realistic.
The process of making the cake took Lara three whole days, while documenting the procedure in a video uploaded to the Facebook and Tic Tac network, where he gained a lot of exposure.
On Facebook, the video received 72,000 shares, 27,000 comments and also 312,000 likes.
At Tic Tac the video garnered 32 million likes, and the confectioner gained a million and a half followers.

In an interview with the British teamdogs website, Lara said that "this is just one of the special cake design requests I get, but these are definitely the requests I am most happy to make".
Lara is an expert in making special animal-shaped cakes.
In the past, she also made a life-size Harry and Megan cake, for the NEC International Cakes event, held in the UK in 2018. She also made a cake in the shape of a moana twenty feet in size, at the request of one of her clients.

Lara told of the bulldog cake she made on social media: "A very cute couple came to me, who asked if I could make a life-size cake for their dog. I just could not refuse the challenge, because I love dogs, and they wanted a realistic cake."
In the process of preparing the cake, Lara used more than 80 eggs, 2.5 kg of butter, 2.5 kg of sugar, 2.5 kg of flour, 3 kg of butter cream, 3 kg of ganache and 5 kg of chocolate.
