The program to encourage student immunization - First publication: The

Ministry of Defense drew the outline "Resilience for the student", which promises tens of thousands of shekels for a school that will make its students vaccinated.

The program, whose role is to strengthen local authorities in the immunization of youth aged 18-12, has already been discussed in senior forums with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and is scheduled to begin this week in the city of Beit Shemesh.

Education Minister Yifat Shasha Bitton, who opposes vaccines in schools, did not attend the zoom meeting attended by senior members of the army and the Home Front Command and other ministers such as Nitzan Horowitz and Ayelet Shaked.

Under the plan, incentives will be given to educational institutions in relation to the increase in the rate of new vaccinators.

The money will be given to educational needs.

Immunization will be inside or outside the educational institution.

In the first phase, a pilot will be conducted in the authorities of more than 20,000 residents, where the immunization rate among those aged 18-12 is less than 50%.

It is the institutions that will have to commit and obtain the parental permits for all the vaccinated students.

And what will be the reward?

Each authority will report to the Home Front Command what is the proportion of students who are vaccinated first, and also what is the proportion of vaccinated at the end of the beat.

According to the initial proposal, a school with more than 600 students will be able to win the sum of NIS 30,000 if there is an increase of more than 60% in student immunization.

If the increase is between 41% and 60%, the school will receive NIS 15,000, and if there is an increase of 20% -40%, it will receive NIS 10,000.

Regarding small schools: those with up to 100 students can receive between NIS 2,000 and 5,000, and schools with between 200 and 600 students can receive between NIS 3,000 and NIS 20,000. There are still some points in the outline that are not finally closed, but the city of Beit Shemesh has been chosen to be the first to activate the immunization system in schools and it will currently begin in the ultra-Orthodox schools that began studying on Elul. These days, Beit Shemesh is turning to girls in the ultra-Orthodox education system and to state and state-religious education in an attempt to vaccinate as many students as possible by the start of the school year, and where they will not suffice - even after the start of the year. The mayor instructed to hold a meeting with all the principals in the various streams of education. Information leaflets will be delivered to parents, and education staff will be instructed on how to convey the topics to students in the classroom.

"We should launch such an operation for all Israeli children. We are having a dialogue with all the education staff," says the mayor of Beit Shemesh, Dr. Aliza Bloch. "It is important that the State of Israel make one voice heard.

It is easier for me to recruit the education teams when the State of Israel makes one clear voice.

"The financial incentives will help encourage managers. I prefer that we talk about what is yes and not what is not, what we will gain from the vaccine and not what we will lose."

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Health announced last night a decision that could devour the cards, according to which eighth-twelfth graders in red cities will be able to study frontally in the classroom only if over 70% of the class is vaccinated.

If the vaccination rate is below 70% the whole class will move to online learning.

The immunization threshold will include vaccinated, recovering students who have a positive serological test result.

This is a dramatic decision for the system and the students given the fact that in previous waves of illness many dozens of cities, even the largest ones, have been painted red.

At the same time, this is a decision contrary to the statements of Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Bitton that learning in educational institutions will take place even if the authority is red.
