District - District Administrator Stefan Frey supports the themed series "Cinema & Climate", which comes up with films, discussions and lectures as part of the Five Lakes Film Festival.

During Climate Day on August 22nd in the Gautinger Kino, Climate Protection Manager Josefine Anderer will be available for consultations and with information material for questions about climate protection.

Tomorrow the time has come, the Five Lakes Film Festival opens its doors to the public. This year there is also a series Kino & Klima. District Administrator Stefan Frey sees the films as valuable contributions to raise awareness of the topic. Because on the big screen, the beauty and uniqueness of our earth becomes particularly clear. However, the advancing climate change is endangering the earth and changing the living conditions of all of us. “That is why it is right to act quickly and boldly,” warns Josefine Anderer, the district's climate protection manager. "Especially the extreme events that we are experiencing this summer not only in Germany, but also in southern Europe and around the world, create the impression of being powerless." But there are ways to counteract this. "Every little move, if it is set correctly, brings something forward",is sure of others. At the Five Lakes Film Festival from August 19 to 30, a series of Kino & Klima will not only show special films on the subject of climate protection. Climate protection manager Josefine Anderer will also be present at Climate Day on August 22nd in Gauting with information and advice.

The district also supports the Five Lakes Film Festival financially in the context of cultural funding.

Kino & Klima takes place in cooperation with the initiative unsklima.jetzt, an independent, private initiative by Anne and Alex Eichberger to protect our climate.

Seven selected feature films, four short films, discussions and lectures should be an offer that creates transparency, can enrich the level of knowledge of the visitors and offers support in shaping one's own actions in a climate-friendly and sustainable manner.
