A preliminary investigation was opened in mid-July at the Thionville judicial court for "drug trafficking".
A surveillance system was immediately put in place, making it possible to identify three individuals as well as a network headquartered in Neufchef, in Moselle.

The investigations made it possible to establish that these three people regularly engaged in the importation of large quantities of cannabis from Belgium and the Netherlands: the traffickers worked thanks to several vehicles, but especially thanks to a box where the narcotics were stored before their flow, tells us the national gendarmerie.

The three men were finally arrested on August 13 and then charged. One of them was remanded in custody. The operation, which mobilized 35 gendarmes from the Metz SR and the Moselle departmental gendarmerie group, as well as three dog teams, led to the discovery of 54 kilos of cannabis resin. Investigators also seized 102,000 euros in cash, 8 vehicles, a Kalashnikov and a Tokarev pistol, as well as hundreds of ammunition.
