The pandemic continues to have consequences.
And as it happened to many people, the coronavirus not only wreaked havoc at the health level, but also affected people from different aspects related to the psychological, to work, to social relationships and
also to many couples
.
There were marriages that were broken during the quarantine as a
result of a "new normal" that they could not overcome.
Either by having to adapt to a compulsory coexistence for almost the whole day, or by discovering aspects of the other that previously were not seen or did not bother.
Some of this is happening to
Pablo Layus
, a journalist from America, who is going
through a deep marriage crisis with
Elsa Cánepa Viganó
, his partner for eleven years and with whom he has two children in common: Juan and Francisco.
Pablo Layus has to make a difficult decision: he stays working in Buenos Aires or he returns to live in Córdoba.
"Elsa was very sorry that she was not able to be with her parents during the pandemic and
she told me that she wanted to stay there,
" said Layus, who is working in Buenos Aires and, for the first time, away from his family.
Even last Sunday on the occasion of
Children's Day
, the former member of Intruders posted a message on his Instagram account dedicated to his children.
"
Happy day! Without them nothing makes sense
, without them nothing would have a future. When they are born they are already teaching you that there is a pure love without limit that fills you with the most beautiful responsibility in the world," he began.
"Happy day to them but also to all of us who have our inner child always present and it is the one that always makes us smile. May it never stop peeking out
to fully enjoy those magical moments that only children are capable of seeing !!
", he closed in his text.
Pablo Layus uploaded a story saying he had nightmares.
But a few hours ago Layus went further and through stories on his account, in which he has more than 150 thousand followers, he confessed that
he could not sleep due to the nightmares he had
.
and "What a difficult week awaits me," he added in another publication, implying that it is difficult for him to adapt to this new situation, separated from his family.
The journalist anticipated that very difficult days were coming.
According to reports, Elsa, a photographer by profession, made the decision to stay in her province and there is no going back in this regard.
So it is not clear if the "separation" is only geographical, while Layus works in Buenos Aires, or
the crisis is terminal
, regardless of whether the journalist decides to leave his job here and return to Córdoba.
Layus's word
A few days ago, Layús spoke with colleagues from
Paparazzi.com
and acknowledged that
Elsa settled in the house of a friend of the couple
.
"The good thing is that a friend lent us an apartment, and the kids got a quick school."
"
I do not know what will happen in the future, for now it is a day to day.
We have been together for eleven years and the relationship, when you have children, is different. I travel every weekend to see them," he added.
"During the week, I'm alone here but since I work many hours a day, there are times that I start at five thirty in the morning and finish at night, it passes quickly.
She doesn't think she wants to come back. We'll see what happens ...
", he finished, almost resigned by the situation.
