A serious accident occurred today (Tuesday) outside Moscow, in which an IL-112V aircraft, a prototype of the Russian military's new military transport aircraft, crashed.
Eyewitnesses who filmed the incident reported that the plane caught fire shortly before the crash, and this can be clearly seen in the documentation.
The incident took place during a training flight at an air base in the city of Kovinka, in the suburbs of Moscow.
The plane, which was on a completely routine flight, suddenly caught fire and after a long minute crashed into the mountains.
Seconds after the crash, a violent explosion was seen from the scene.
The three people on board the aircraft were reportedly killed.

The new aircraft, the Defense-Blog website notes, is the first military aircraft developed in Russia from scratch in response to the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Work on the aircraft began in 2014 and its maiden flight was made in March 2019. However, it is reported that the project has faced many technical difficulties.
