All defendants except grandfather were convicted
The five defendants are: the father (44 years old), mother (42 years old), grandmother (67 years old), uncle (39 years old) and grandfather (65 years old) of woman victim X.
Except for the victim's grandfather, the other four relatives were all convicted. Father X shook his head when he heard the sentence.
Among them, the father, grandparents and uncle were charged from October 8, 2018 to January 23, 2019, for conspiring to obstruct justice, causing X to change the original evidence in the criminal case of the High Court.

X’s parents were also charged with obstruction of justice on October 20, 2018, alleging that X’s mother and X left Hong Kong in order to prevent them from giving evidence in criminal cases as prosecution witnesses.
