In an unusual move, the Palestinian Authority sent four fire trucks to Israel today (Tuesday) to help put out the fire that has been raging in the Jerusalem mountains for two days.
This was ordered by Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen.
Israel welcomed Abbas' proposal. Defense Minister Bnei Gantz thanked him for the assistance and wrote that "mutual guarantee and saving human lives are in the common interest of us all," and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid wrote that "we appreciate Cooperation".
