The government is looking for excuses not to respond to Hamas - and the price of hesitation will be paid with interest Israel today

A rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip and the Israeli government chose not to respond without giving explanations.

Sderot residents re-entered the circle of fire yesterday (Monday), when a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip in their direction.

Although the rocket is intercepted using the "Iron Dome" system, the "red color" routine, which includes children entering protected areas, in the midst of great freedom, as if received with equanimity.

The bizarre situation is exacerbated in the face of the Israeli government's lack of immediate response to the action.

The situation has become ridiculous - once a short circuit causes rockets to be fired, another time it is a misunderstanding, any excuse that comes to mind if only to not escalate the situation with Hamas, all at once with the fingers of the "Muslim Brotherhood" a condition for stability.

The Israeli government has determined that the response to the rocket fire at Sderot will arrive "at the time and place" it decides.

At the military-professional level, the statement makes sense, after all we repeatedly ask for songs towards the citizens of Israel that will lead to a harsh reaction towards the other side, and certainly not to a dune that explodes or another warehouse.

This dynamic has been familiar to us for many years and brings with it drips, unbalanced equations, which at the end make another multi-statement and small-scale result, but this time, we must read well between the lines.

I could understand the government's laxity, if the explanation was in the style - "Hamas terrorists went into hiding, and we will wait for them patiently, and when they come out, we will close an account with them," but that is not the explanation we hear.

In fact, we do not hear explanations and it is disturbing that after all, this is the government of change, so what has changed?

From an operational point of view, one can understand the need to wait for a quality goal, only the dynamics are such that as time passes from the event, the motivation to act decreases, certainly when in the background someone from the US administration sent a message or the Egyptians will surely ask not to pay, The wait and non-escalation.

IDF deterrence is eroding

We are three months from the end of Operation The Guardian of the Walls, when its architects promised us that "what was will not be."

In order to be consistent, a sharp and clear message must be repeated each time - Hamas 'military arm must be destroyed, cut down, grounded and its and its emissaries' military capabilities collapsed.

Today, his messengers from Tehran also sit a few kilometers from Sderot.

There is no right to exist for Hamas' rocket capability and every day that passes, we receive this thing, is a day when IDF deterrence is eroded. In practice, we live with this threat of equality.

The State of Israel will turn worlds upside down to deal with an epidemic that 99% of the public will recover from.

Huge budgets are rightly invested in this, to the point of decisions to close the country and reduce the traffic space to a radius of 100 meters.

We act in the most undemocratic way to preserve the lives of the citizens here, but when a missile or rocket is launched, we do everything but everything to forget about it as quickly as possible, even at the cost of tens of thousands of rockets, from every possible direction.

How is it possible that the State of Israel accepts this without acting dramatically to change the situation?

This is an essential point to think about - what are we willing to pay prices for?

The outgoing verb - the quality of life here is important from our future, from the risks we take regarding the next generation, which will be required to deal with the security threats and pay prices at interest.

The destruction of the fighting force in the Gaza Strip is not a luxury and should not be an extreme scenario, but it should be the first target in a future operation. To the extent that we refrain from using the required force, we degrade ourselves to know and take unreasonable risks at the expense of the future of the state, which is already, as mentioned, in the hands of the "Muslim Brotherhood" within the Knesset of Israel.
