Yossiel Ne'eman, half of the duo Yael and Yossiel, is not only a reality refugee but also a graduate of acting school, and these days you can see him in the second season of the series "Shabnikim" in a small role alongside Guri Alfi

You know Yossiel Ne'eman about half of the duo Yael and Yossiel, winners of the last season of "The Race for a Million".

But Carmon is a graduate of Yoram Levinstein's acting school, and these days you can see him in a small acting role in the second season of the "Shabnikim" series on HOT.

"I was originally auditioned for the role of Trabelsi (an ultra-Orthodox activist whose character joins the second season - A.S.).

I was one of the two finalists for the position, but in the end they got the actor Bezalel Borochov, "says Yossiel." After a week, I received a phone call that I had another role, the role of Shlomi Zack.

It's not a big role, but it's my first role on screen, so it's a milestone. "

Disappointing to be tested for a major role and eventually get a supporting role.

"Obviously, I had three auditions spread over six months. I waited for an answer for a long time, and when I was informed that it was not happening - there was a big disappointment."

Was it clear to you that you would take the small role?

"At first I reacted out of ego and didn't want to do it, but then I ignored ego for a moment and acted out of my mind. I said to myself 'do it' - and I'm happy."

How was the set?

"I had a lot of fun. I have scenes with Alfie puppies, and working with him was very instructive. He advised me and helped me."

Isn't it stressful to join the second season of a successful series and play against Guri Alfi?

"Totally stressful. I studied the texts well and arrived most prepared so that there would be no leaks."

Were you worried that you were a reality refugee?

That's why they won't want to cast you as an actor?

"I used to fight my identification as a reality refugee, but today I understand that anything can happen together. There was someone who did not want to work with me because I am identified with the 'Race for a Million' and I was hurt by it, but today I am proud to be here and here."

You at least learned acting, but there are a lot of reality refugees who get acting roles without any training.

Do you understand the criticism of this?

"I understand the frustration. My classmates, who have studied the profession, are losing roles to someone with a lot of followers on Instagram. I do not judge the decision makers, but there is no denying this phenomenon."

The number of followers on Instagram is a consideration in today’s casting.

"Absolutely, and a liar who will deny it."

What would you advise someone who wants to be an actor and received an offer to participate in reality?

"I think first he should go play acting, for peace of mind, and then he should make his choices. In the past I was offered to participate in 'Survival' and I was in the middle of sophomore year studying acting. It was tempting but I was waiting to graduate, and I'm happy about that."
