The trial returns to Zadorov: The prosecutor's office requested an extension to file the amended indictment

The State Attorney's Office submitted a request to the Nazareth District Court for an extension of one month in order to complete the investigation and amend the indictment.

Please note that the extension will allow for the "transfer of investigative materials for defense" in order to allow it to "economize its steps".

A hearing will be held tomorrow on Zadorov's request to be released by the end of the proceedings

The State Attorney's Office today (Tuesday) submitted to the Nazareth District Court a request for an extension of one month to file an amended indictment against Roman Zadorov and to complete the investigative actions, after the Nazareth District Court ordered the state to complete the actions by August 18.

The prosecution's request states that "the prosecution worked tirelessly and invested efforts and resources to promote and expedite the completion of the investigation, until the court set a date. "The necessary investigative actions, the formulation of an amended indictment, the transfer of investigative materials to the defense and the provision of additional time that will allow the defense to study the investigative material that will be added, and to economize its steps accordingly."

The request was submitted to the panel of judges that will conduct the retrial - Asher Kola, Danny Tzarfati and Tamar Nissim-Shai.

Simultaneously with this request, a hearing will be held tomorrow before Arafat Taha, a judge of the District Court in Nazareth, a hearing on the request for the release of Zadorov until the end of the proceedings in the retrial.

At the last hearing, Judge Taha announced his decision that Zadorov would be released from prison and placed under house arrest while the retrial takes place.

Tomorrow, the court will be presented with the opinion of the Electronic Restraint Administration regarding the supervision that will be imposed on Zadorov by electronic means, which will continuously monitor the presence in the apartment of Olga's parents, his wife, who was determined to be in detention.

If the judge accepts the opinion and the prosecution does not appeal it, then tomorrow Zadorov will be able to go under house arrest, about 15 years after he was arrested, convicted and sent to life imprisonment.

The people who will be responsible for being with Zadorov as custodians during the house arrest will also be presented to the court, and the financial guarantees he must deposit will be presented to the court.
