Daily showers leave shower heads clogged with scale and it is quite difficult to clean them properly when these are fixed to the ceiling or wall.

But do not worry - there is a simple trick that does not require too much effort and it will help to clean and remove all the scale from the shower head - without you having to disassemble it.

This method is likely to change your bathroom cleaning habits forever.

All you need is a waterproof plastic bag, handcuffs or rope and some vinegar (preferably white but also brown goes).

Here's what you need to do:

1. Check that the bag is large enough to wrap the shower head - a bag of sandwiches will fit smaller shower heads and super bags for larger heads.

2. Mix the vinegar with an equal amount of water and fill the plastic bag halfway.

3. Wrap the shower head in a bag and make sure the whole head is immersed in the liquid.

4. Tie the bag securely to the tube behind the head using a rubber band, or rope.

5. Leave the bag for several hours or even overnight.

6. Remove the bag and rinse the shower head with running water.

Make sure you turn on the water for a few seconds before you jump in to take a shower.
