The man apparently tried to flee the country after the Taliban took over and hid in the wheels of a U.S. military plane.

The tragic sights from Afghanistan keep coming: The

body of a dead Afghan man was found in the wheels of a U.S. Air Force plane that took off in a hurry from Kabul airport yesterday (Monday).

Thousands have desperately tried to climb aboard the plane in an effort to escape the Taliban, even as it was already traveling down the runway.

Officials in the Washington Post said human remains were found inside the wheel of a C-17 transport plane that took off from Kabul last Monday, after pilots were forced to make an emergency landing in a nearby state because they were unable to fold the plane's wheels after takeoff.

It is estimated that the man climbed on the landing gear and tried to get away before the plane left in a mad attempt to flee the country after the Taliban took over.

The shocking discovery of human remains is among the more disturbing developments recorded after the departure of American forces.

Among the videos circulated could be seen chaotic scenes at Kabul airport, after at least seven people were killed by an exchange of gunfire at the scene.

In addition, the videos showed masses of Afghans chasing the plane as it traveled down the runway, some of which even managed to cling to it during takeoff.

At least two people dived to their deaths moments later as the plane quickly rose to flight altitude.

As you may recall, the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan after taking control of the capital, Kabul, in recent days - after leaving Western forces, led by the United States, after about 20 years of presence and involvement in the long and bloody civil war.
