The Var and the Alpes-Maritimes are no longer this Tuesday morning in orange vigilance to the heatwave.
These two departments were the last two affected by this alert after it was lifted Monday by Météo France for Ardèche, Drôme and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
The Var and the Alpes-Maritimes, however, remain on yellow alert.

This announcement comes at a time when a violent fire, fueled by the mistral, has been affecting the Massif des Maures since Monday in the Var, north-east of Toulon.
The fire has traveled more than 4,000 hectares and 22 kilometers since its departure, according to the firefighters of the Var.

Faced with this disaster, triggered around 5:45 p.m. at the Sigues motorway area on the A57, around one hundred kilometers north-east of Toulon, 430 firefighters have already been mobilized on Monday, assisted by around ten planes -sept Canadairs and two Dash-, three helicopters water bombers and the Dragon 83 of the Civil Security.
According to the Var Prefecture, a column of 240 other firefighters should join them on Tuesday, from the Gard, the Alpes-Maritimes, the Alpes de Haute-Provence and the Bouches-du-Rhône.
A departmental operational center was activated in the early evening Monday by the Prefecture.
