Udi Barkan discovers how simple and easy it is to get out of the box and sail with the right combination of flavors to faraway lands.

Ingredients

  • For tuna in a Thai position:

    • 1 tart in olive oil

    • 4 as a fish sauce solution

    • 2 pieces of fresh lime or one lemon (grate the peel and squeeze the juice)

    • 5 cm. Peeled ginger root and cut into cubes

    • ½1 tablespoon honey

    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

    • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • For salad:

    • 1 cup coriander

    • 1 cup mint

    • 1 cup basil

    • 1 carrot cut into juliennes (matches)

    • 2 cucumbers sliced ​​diagonally

    • 1 purple onion thinly sliced

    • 1 cup cherry tomatoes cut into quarters

  • To serve:

    • 1 American lettuce separated into leaves

    • Roasted and chopped peanuts

    • 2 red hot peppers, thinly sliced

Preparation

How to make a Thai tuna salad?

  • 1 Mix the tuna with the oil from the box and the rest of the ingredients in a bowl, including grating the lime and its juice.

    Soak at room temperature for an hour.

  • 2 Add the salad ingredients to the tuna with the sauce and mix.

  • 3 Serve in boats of lettuce leaves, sprinkle over chopped peanuts and slices of chili and serve.
