A young American threw a fishing rod into the sea and meanwhile went to play, when suddenly the fishing line was stretched with great force • On the other side of the line was a real monster: Ameletz • Watch

Matt Pitchiak, a young American, decided to spend the end of the summer with his family on the beach at Nausette Beach in the state of Massachusetts, USA.

While playing in the meantime on the beach, the fishing line of one of the fishing rods suddenly began to stretch vigorously.

"We played and drank beers, and then I saw one of the rods stretch violently," he told NBC in an interview, "I gave my beer bottle to my cousin and grabbed the rod, which was really stretched."

But what stretched the fishing line was, it turned out, a very large shark, probably of the white limestone type.

The giant mammal concentrated on the fish and baits on the fishing rods and did not even notice that it was disturbing the humans on the beach to fish.

"The big shark just ate the baits, and probably also some fish that was on one of the rods, and did not feel that there was any bait there," the young man said. "It's an animal the size of a ship, so I had no chance against it at all."

In a video taken by one of the family members, the shark is seen passing lightly between the tangle of fishing rods thrown into the shallow water, and moving on while ignoring the people on the beach.

U.S. ocean experts who saw the video also estimated it to be a white shark.

Either way, despite the scary experience, Matt Pichiak said that "the fact that there are sharks in the sea does not bother me. I will continue to swim and will not be afraid to enter the ocean."
