The companies affiliated with the General Organization for Engineering Industries have achieved, since the beginning of this year until last month, sales of 103.638 billion pounds, and an implementation rate of 151 percent of the production plan and a development rate of 260 percent over the same period last year.

The production and marketing report of the institution for the first seven months of this year indicated that the Damascus Cable Company recorded the highest sales, with a value of 47.731 billion Syrian pounds, followed by Hama Steel, with a value of 43.248 billion pounds, then Aleppo Cables with 7.517 billion pounds, and metal constructions with 3.890 billion pounds.

The report indicated that the sales of Aleppo Batteries Company amounted to 503 million pounds, Canar Company 418 million pounds, Barada for metal industries about 177 million pounds, and Seronics for electronic industries 151 million pounds, while the agricultural machinery companies in Aleppo and timber did not record any sales value because of their cessation of production.

The report, a copy of which was received by the economic bulletin, showed that the engineering corporation companies achieved during this period a production of 102.993 billion pounds, with an implementation rate of 150 percent of the production plan, and a development rate of 250 percent over the same period last year.

The General Director of the Corporation, Eng. Asaad Warda, explained in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the Corporation’s management is working, in coordination with the companies’ management, to invest all technical and human energies in the companies and provide their needs for raw materials and spare parts for the continuity of the production process and to provide public authorities and the local market with their products, indicating that the Corporation’s plan is concentrated in a way Main on implementing replacement and renewal plans and introducing some vital projects into the production process, such as a closed battery production line, a factory for recycling old batteries, and a lithium battery production line.

Warda pointed out that the main work directions focus in the next stage on following up on the implementation of the investment plans of the subsidiaries, finding appropriate solutions for stumbling and stalled companies, studying the creation of new factories and production lines, in addition to enhancing the role of the institution in securing all requests from the public and private sectors by working to raise production capacities in every way. possible ways.

The Director General of the Engineering Corporation stressed the need to work on exempting affiliated companies from all fees and taxes on machines, spare parts and production inputs in order to ensure the competitiveness of public sector companies, open salary ceilings for all categories, renew or replace mechanisms for the transfer of workers and install annual contracts for company workers in addition to ensuring the stability of the current Electricity and its continuity throughout the actual working days.
