Returning to Sinai:
Following the meeting between Prime Minister Bennett and Defense Minister Ganz with Egyptian Intelligence Minister Kabas Kamel, the National Security Headquarters issued an announcement this evening (Wednesday) stating that it had decided to reduce the level of terrorism to the shores of Sinai and Sharm el-Sheikh.
In a statement issued by the National Security Council, it was clarified that the severity of the warning on the shores of Sinai and Sharm el-Sheikh dropped from level 1 to level 3 and stressed that in North Sinai risk level 1 remains defined as a high level of risk. .
As mentioned, earlier tonight, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz met with Egypt's Chief of General Intelligence, General Abbas Kamel.
The two discussed the need to strengthen regional stability, the common war on terror and the importance of safeguarding common security interests.

At their meeting, Minister Ganz thanked Kamel and thanked Egyptian President al-Sisi for Egypt's positive activity in the region, and stressed the importance Israel sees in achieving long-term peace in southern Israel and promoting a solution to the issue of prisoners and missing persons held in the Gaza Strip.
It should be noted that about two months ago there were reports that the Egyptian airline, Air Cairo, is expected to operate direct flights from Sharm el-Sheikh to Ben Gurion Airport and back. It is estimated that flight prices will start at $ 370 for round-trip flights.
It is important to emphasize: the flights have not yet received the security clearances.
Currently, there are no direct flights of any airline on the routes between Israel and Sinai.
