Gmund - Two men were injured in an accident on the B472 in Gmund-Festenbach on Tuesday.
According to the police, the damage is very high.
On Tuesday evening (August 17), around 6 p.m., officers from the Holzkirchen police station were summoned to an accident in Gmund on the federal road B472, shortly before the confluence with Festenbach.
"An 18-year-old from the Miesbach district drove his car on the B472 from Miesbach in the direction of Bad Tölz and for reasons that were not clear up to now ended up in the opposite lane," explains the police.
“The novice driver first touched the exterior mirror of the oncoming vehicle of a 39-year-old from the district of Miesbach.” Then he recorded the also oncoming car of a 56-year-old from the district of Rosenheim.
Due to the impact, the two cars of the men involved were thrown into the grass verge.
Both drivers were injured and taken to the hospital to investigate possible injuries.
"According to initial assessments, there was high property damage to the cars involved," the police sums up.
The entire front and side of the perpetrator's car were deformed.
The property damage is estimated at 10,000 euros.
On the other hand, the left front of the 56-year-old's vehicle was deformed.
The property damage is estimated at 30,000 euros.
The exterior mirror on the 39-year-old's car was blown.
The property damage is estimated at 300 euros.
The Wall Volunteer Fire Brigade was on site to bind leaked operating materials, regulate traffic and clean the road.
The Hausham road maintenance depot was on site to inspect the road.
