After initial contact, his truck was brought to the Cargo Center at Nuremberg Airport, as security was not possible on the autobahn. Once there, two dogs from customs sniffed out the drug and struck. Customs then examined the cargo with an X-ray machine - this confirmed the suspicion. The customs officers found a total of 150 kilograms of marijuana, distributed in 25 sacks, hidden between 17 tons of dried fruit.

"As a result, criminal proceedings were initiated against the 26-year-old driver on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Act," writes the main customs office.

He is currently in custody at the request of the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor's office.

The Joint Investigation Group on Narcotics North Bavaria of the Customs Investigation Office in Munich and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office are responsible for the further investigations.
