Pope Francis urged all people to get vaccinated against covid-19 in a video message published Wednesday as part of a campaign organized by the US nonprofit group the Ad Council and the public health coalition. COVID Collaborative.
"Thanks to God and the work of many, today we have vaccines to protect ourselves from covid-19.

"Getting vaccinated with vaccines authorized by the competent authorities is an act of love.

"I ask God so that each one can contribute their little grain of sand, their little gesture of love, no matter how small love is, it is always great," said the pope in the video message in Spanish with English subtitles.
The Ad Council, in a statement, said it launched the first global campaign "to continue to increase confidence in covid-19 vaccines."

Messages from six cardinals and archbishops of the Americas calling for vaccination were also included in the announcement.
