A culture week is announced in Schongau.
From October 1st to October 10th, 40 events are to take place, 24 different presentations from concerts to readings.
The offer is intended for all age groups.
Highlight: The returned executioner's sword is presented to the public.

- There should be a new culture week in Schongau.
It starts on October 1st with a welcome concert by the Schongauer Kulturverein in the Ballenhaus.
The program is almost complete.
Over eleven days there are 24 different program items, some of which are offered several times.
There will be around 40 events at the Schongau Culture Week.
The city does not have its own event manager
Because the city does not have its own event manager and it does not have its own cultural consultant, Daniela Puzzovio has taken on the topic.
The Schongauerin acts in the interests of the city, but not as Vice Mayor and not entirely on a voluntary basis, but uses her own platform “IN Schongau” to acquire at least a few sponsors for organization and marketing.
“I can't do any more voluntary projects,” explains Puzzovio.
Sponsorship money will probably not cover all expenses, let alone write down the work: "I once planned 50 hours, but I stopped counting long ago," said the Schongauerin.
E-mail is not enough, the organization takes time
Because just writing an email is not enough.
Of course, Puzzovio also provides support when it comes to finding space.
Now it is time to prepare the brochure, which will be distributed from the first week of September, one month before the events.
At the same time, there will also be a separate website with details on the individual program items.
Many artists and cultural workers have taken part and offer concerts, music and dance, exhibitions or readings.
But according to Puzzovio, creative things are also offered, where those interested in culture can participate themselves.
For example, a five-day workshop for young people is planned with the support of a graffiti artist.
These results should also be seen during the culture week.
There should also be an outdoor program
Not only are there many people involved in Schongau, the culture week is also spread across the entire city.
If the weather cooperates, there should be programs outdoors, such as at Marienplatz or in the Brahmsgarten in Schongau-West.
There should be cultural events in various pubs and business premises as well as in the traditional costume home or in the museum.
There is now a particularly exciting date there, quite unexpectedly: The museum friends want to present the sword stolen 50 years ago to the city and other weapons.
A highlight: the executioner's sword is presented to the public for the first time
As Helmut Schmidbauer from the Museum Association has revealed, an area of the museum in the Erasmus Chapel is to be completely redesigned for this purpose.
Only last Friday, the city archivist Franz Grundner and the former district home nurse Schmidbauer were able to receive the valuable items from the criminal police in Munich (we reported).
Author Oliver Pötzsch is supposed to present the executioner's sword, which was probably also used by his ancestors on his mother's side, to the public.
The organization of the culture week is well advanced.
"Now the right name is missing," reveals Puzzovio.
There had been culture weeks in Schongau in the past, too, and the Schongauer Nachrichten supported something like “Pure Culture”.
