Around 1,400 helpers will be on duty in the 2021 federal election in the Starnberg district, and there are around 180 electoral districts for ballot boxes and postal votes.
Some municipalities have expanded their capacity for postal voting because demand is expected to be very high.
The tick at home is fashionable, and not just because of the pandemic.
District
- Less than six weeks before the federal election on September 26th, all eligible voters will receive their notifications, postal voting will then be possible.
The pandemic poses particular challenges for the communities in organizing the election.
Even if the rules for citizens are the same everywhere, there are still special features in every municipality.
Basically: The postal voting options are on the voting notification, which should not be left lying around because of the data on it, but should be kept in a safe place.

Andechs
There are six electoral districts for the approximately 2,700 eligible voters in the municipality of Andechs - four for ballot boxes and two for postal votes.
In the 2017 election it was only a postal voting district, in the 2020 local election the community had increased.
"We need a total of 36 election workers, and fortunately enough people have already registered for this," reports Peter Kirchbichler from the regulatory office.
Regarding postal voting: In principle, the application can be made in person, in writing and online.
"With regard to the Corona situation, we ask that it be done in writing or online, we will publish a corresponding request on our homepage and on the notice boards of the community." The voting notifications should be sent from next Monday.

Mountain
The municipality of Berg with its 5920 eligible voters expects a postal voter rate of more than 50 percent.
"We have set up two more postal voting stations - a total of eight - and are counting on 3,500 postal voters," explains executive officer Erik Fiedler.
There are also six polling stations.
130 election workers are needed, with some of them the community is still waiting for feedback.
Postal voting can be requested in person, in writing, by email or online.
Berg will also send the notifications from next week.

Eleven ballot box and four postal voting districts are planned for the market town of Dießen.
There were six in the local elections, but with only two votes (one for the direct candidate, one for the list), the effort involved in the federal election is significantly less than in the local election.
Around 120 election workers are needed, and "so far it looks pretty good," says the executive officer Karl Heinz Springer.
The approximately 8,200 people from Dießen who are eligible to vote can apply for absentee voting online (via the homepage), in person or in writing.
For personal visits it should be noted that an appointment is still required for parts of the town hall, but not for the public order and residents' registration office.

Feldafing
Because of the pandemic, Feldafing has changed his polling stations - there are none in the Kreisaltenheim in Garatshausen for this election, but a total of six in the Otto Bernheimer elementary school, three urn and three postal voting districts for the around 3,300 eligible voters.
Four years ago there were four electoral districts, and in Feldafing's town hall, 50 or more percent of postal voters are expected.
The application can be made in writing - because of the visitor restrictions, preferably by dropping it in the town hall mailbox - online and by e-mail.
You may have to pick up your documents.
The notifications should reach the field fingers by the end of the week.
The community has enough election workers, a total of 45 help.
However, there are no reserves.

Gauting
With around 14,300 eligible voters, Gauting is number 2 in the district. "In Gauting, the tried and tested division into 14 ballot boxes and twelve postal voting stations", explains city hall spokeswoman Charlotte Rieboldt. The number of postal voting stations had already been increased in the previous election - after the results of recent elections in other federal states, Gauting expects significantly more postal voters. “As always, it will be possible to apply for a postal vote by submitting the application on the back of the voting notification. In addition, an online application will be linked to the relevant citizen service portal on our homepage. The approximately 13,200 Gilchingers who are eligible to vote can vote in eight ballot boxes or use postal voting.
“Due to the expected high number of postal voters, for the first time we have as many postal voting districts as ballot box voting districts.
So far there have been more and more electoral districts, ”explains city hall spokeswoman Anja Kastl.
128 election workers are needed, there are currently enough available.
And the postal vote?
“The documents can be requested in person, online or in writing (letter, fax, e-mail).
It is not possible over the phone. ”The notifications will be sent out soon and should be received by September 2nd.

Herrsching
There are around 8,000 eligible voters in Herrsching, six ballot boxes and six postal voting districts, making a total of twelve.
That's two more than in 2017, when there were seven ballot box and three postal voting districts.
The elapsed polling station is Widdersberg (due to construction work).
The election notices will be sent out this week, and sufficient election workers are available - 96 are required in total.
Voting by mail can be requested from today, Wednesday, in person by presenting your identity card or passport and the voting notification in the town hall, in writing with the voting notification, online, by e-mail or fax.

inning
The municipality of Inning, with around 3,400 eligible voters, will also set up one more postal voting district than in previous elections, a total of three.
There are also three polling stations.
35 election workers are needed, there are enough.
The notifications will be delivered by the beginning of September.
Citizens can apply for postal voting in writing, by fax, by e-mail or in person - an appointment must be made in advance for the latter.
An online application will follow.
The municipality expects the postal voting documents to be issued from the end of August, but applications are already possible.

Krailling
The Würmtal community has twelve electoral districts in the 2021 federal election, and in previous elections it had increased its postal voting capacity (to four).
There are around 5500 eligible voters in Krailling, for whom around 100 election workers will be active;
all seats are taken.
You can apply for absentee voting online or in writing with the voting notification, the option already exists now.

Poecking
Pöcking is setting up three ballot box and three postal voting districts for the federal election, whereby the personnel capacities in the postal voting districts have been increased due to the expected increase. Pöcking has around 4,100 eligible voters. 72 election workers are on duty; there are currently enough, but "can still register now for short-term failures or for future elections," says the town hall. Regarding postal voting: “You should refrain from making a personal application to the town hall. It is preferred to put the fully completed application in the mailbox or to apply online via our website, ”explains Günther Drexler from the community. The municipality of Seefeld will prepare seven ballot boxes, as with every election, plus around four postal voting districts.
134 election workers are needed, the community has found enough.
The number of people entitled to vote is around 5,700. Seefelds can apply for a postal vote in writing via the voting notification or online via the Citizen Service Portal, but only from September 5th.

Starnberg
The district town of Starnberg has the highest number of eligible voters at 16,656, which is not surprising given the largest municipality in the district. There will be 19 polling stations, nine for postal votes. These are organized by area. Four years ago it was one less postal voting district. Starnberg does not have personnel problems, as city hall spokeswoman Lena Choi explains: “114 election workers are deployed in the polling stations and 74 in the postal polling stations. In addition to the election workers, there are the helpers who are deployed in the town hall and set up the polling stations. Another 15 people are assigned for this purpose. The municipality of Tutzing prepares five ballot boxes and four postal voting districts, the number is constant. Compared to the 2017 federal election, Weßling has doubled its postal voting capacity, but the municipality had already organized this for the local elections - there are four postal voting districts and six polling stations.
The number of those entitled to vote is around 4,000. The municipality has found the necessary 68 election workers.
The voting notifications are already being sent and should be delivered by the beginning of September.
