Linoy Skizada copes like many religious young women with bachelorhood in a world where many of her friends and family are married • Now, in a new exhibition, she expresses this difficulty in words that leave no room for doubt: "People who did not know me came, saw the texts - and cried"

"I have no room left," "he is not my taste at all, and I do not want to go at all, but I have nothing to disqualify him for. Bassa," "I wish he would touch me by mistake."

Until recently, these sentences remained only in the head of Linoy Skizada, a religious young woman who for the past six years has been trying to find the one he will marry and start a family with.

Since last week, these poignant words and thoughts have been exposed to the eyes of all and adorn a new performance she has created with the aim of raising awareness of the difficulties experienced by religious single women.

As part of a graduate exhibition of the Faculty of Design at HIT - Holon Institute of Technology, Linoy (26), a visual communication student from Ashkelon, took sentences from her world as a religious bachelor who tries to find love for marriage, and spreads them on pages, sheets and even on her face and body to illustrate what she is. And others experience during the eroding dating routine.

"Even before the semester started and we were asked to choose a topic for a final project," she says, "I knew it was the topic I would choose. In the past I set up a matchmaking group with a good friend and did other things related to the world of singles and dating.

"The performance gives expression and exposure to the complexity of the subject and the sharp transitions between optimism, faith and hope to the difficulties and frustration that a religious single woman goes through. Because the search for a partner can be long and exhausting."

Linoy did not hesitate to reveal things concerning her relationship with her family members and to some extent also her personal and intimate thoughts.

"Tehila and Yitzhak came with the two daughters, Bat El and my uncle came with the three boys," she wrote of one of the exhibits. "All the rooms in the parents' house are fully occupied. "The room for 25 hours. Goes down to the warehouse, brings a mattress. He clears the toys that the children scattered in the living room, spreads out the mattress, offers me a temporary bed that is actually not so temporary, because it happens almost every week."

In another poster she wrote regarding family Shabbat meals that "I once had my regular place, and then people and children were added to the family and it turned out I was sitting in the corners. Each time in a different one. But when it comes to plastic chairs I am queen, sitting on two, watching everyone from above. I have no place left. "

On a bed sheet she wrote a thought that went through her mind on one of the dates, as a religious and touching girl, "I wish he had touched me by mistake."

For 6 years she has been trying to get into the family cell building track and she says besides going out for meetings also "I signed up for dating sites, agreed to matchmaking, I am in free-for-all groups, pray for it, go to righteous graves, lay challah, read virtues and light candles".

Her family and close friends knew about her efforts on the issue but said she did not know how much he could create sensitive situations.

"My family, friends and girlfriends were at the show and were first exposed to the things I wrote and going through. For example, they did not know that my place at the Shabbat table changes according to where it remains after my married siblings settle. It is something they do not care about and for me "There were also people who did not know me and saw the texts that were written on my face and cried or laughed in embarrassment. There were also those who offered me a match."

The exhibition was presented this week at the Holon Institute of Technology. .

"People are scared or ashamed to talk about it so I put all the experiences and thoughts on my face. A lot of people said they were surprised by my level of openness and sincerity and praised my courage. I felt I was expressing what many want to say and not daring."
