According to the report, the association Universities UK wrote to the British Foreign Office and the Spanish Embassy and asked them to first allow those affected to enter the country with a tourist visa.

Since Brexit, students need a medical certificate as well as proof of their income for the visa application in addition to a police clearance certificate.
Several reported to the BBC that they applied weeks ago but had not received any feedback.
Popular destination Spain
Student Ella Perret, who soon wants to go to university in Madrid, told the broadcaster: "I haven't booked a flight or accommodation because I don't know if I'll really go." According to the report, Spain is the most popular country for become a British student.
